Privacy policy
Home Measure has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your homes stay on your iPhone unless you choose to share them or to use a web account.
On your iPhone
- Camera and LiDAR data are processed on your iPhone by Apple's RoomPlan framework.
- Homes, rooms, measurements, floor plans and reports are saved in the app's own storage on your iPhone.
- If "Save photos for realistic 3D" is on (Settings, on by default), the app keeps some camera images from each scan on your iPhone to colour the 3D model with your real walls and floors. The photo pass for the photoreal model saves more of them. They are deleted with the home. Turn the setting off to keep no images.
- To line up rooms you scan at different times, the app keeps an AR world map of the home (feature points, no photos) on your iPhone for up to 12 hours. It is deleted with the home.
- The photoreal trainer and the 3D viewer are part of the app and run on your iPhone. Your photos and models stay on the iPhone and are not uploaded. On a computer, the trainer page runs in your browser and uploads nothing either.
- Your photo library is opened only when you choose a logo for your reports. Only the image you pick is used.
- The app does not use location, microphone, contacts or notifications.
Web account (optional)
You can sign in at homemeasure.app/app to see your homes on a computer. You do not need an account to use the app.
- Signing in. With Apple or Google we receive your account's id, your email address (Apple may give a private relay address) and, the first time, your name. With an email code we receive the email address you type. We use them only to sign you in. We send sign-in codes through Resend, an email service.
- Homes you bring over. When you import a backup file, we store each home's name, address field, rooms, sizes and outlines with Cloudflare. Photos and raw scans are not uploaded.
- Cookies. One cookie keeps you signed in for up to 60 days, and a short-lived one protects the Apple or Google sign-in. No advertising or analytics cookies.
- Deleting. Account, Delete account removes your account, its homes and sessions at once. You can also remove single homes. Homes on your iPhone are never touched.
When you share
- A report, floor plan, 3D file or listing text leaves your iPhone only when you share it yourself through the iOS share sheet, to the app or person you choose.
- Tour links. If you create a 3D tour link, the app asks first, then uploads the home's 3D model (also as a file for "View in AR" on iPhones, with a picture of it for link previews, and the PDF report with its listing text; with photo textures of the walls and floors when realistic 3D is on, and the photoreal model when you trained one) to our tour service, which stores it with Cloudflare. Anyone with the link can view the tour. With full access, your brand name, contact line and logo go with the tour when you set them in Settings. The link uses a random 20-character address that cannot be guessed, and tour pages ask search engines not to list them. Tours and their files are deleted after 12 months.
- To check your plan, the app sends the tour service the App Store transaction ID of your purchase and a random id for the home. The service asks Apple whether the purchase is valid and keeps a count of the homes shared each month, deleted after 40 days. None of this includes your name, Apple ID or payment details.
- Send scan data (Settings) makes one file with all your homes (names, addresses, sizes) and their raw scans, without photos, for checking a problem, moving to a new iPhone or importing into your web account. The app warns you first, and you choose where it goes.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts this site, the web account and the tour service. Like any web server, it sees the IP address of visitors; we do not keep logs of them beyond Cloudflare's short-lived error logs.
- Resend delivers sign-in codes by email.
- Apple and Google sign you in when you choose them.
- Expo delivers app updates: at launch the app asks whether a newer version of its code exists, sending the app version and a random install id. No homes or personal details are sent.
- Apple handles purchases and checks them for the tour service. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details or your Apple ID.
Deleting your data
Delete a room or home inside the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored on your iPhone. Tour links expire after 12 months; to remove one sooner, open the home, Share, Delete tour link. Delete your web account at homemeasure.app/app/account. For anything else, email support@homemeasure.app.
